TULSA, (Okla.) - November 29, 2004 - For new construction and renovation projects, the new Hilti PS 200 Ferroscan detects rebar and other ferrous objects in concrete to help you save time and money by avoiding costly rebar hits. Portable, quick and easy for one person to use, the PS 200 Ferroscan is designed to provide accurate on-site rebar depth, diameter and location.
Easy-to-Use Wireless System
The new Hilti PS 200 Ferroscan System, made up of the PS 200 S Scanner and PS 200 M monitor, is wireless and lightweight to make performing scans faster and easier. Simply run the scanner across the surface and the PS 200 creates an image of what is in the concrete. With increased capabilities, the monitor features an integrated LCD display, which makes setting up scans easy while providing information during the scan process. Once the scan is completed, data can be downloaded quickly from the scanner to the monitor via infrared beam and the image is immediately displayed on the monitor for identification and location of steel reinforcement prior to drilling.
This system eliminates guesswork by allowing you to review rebar overlaps, check reinforcement before structural renovation, or perform on the job inspections for quality control.
With a 32 MB memory card, the PS 200 stores up to 150 scans. Data can be transferred to a PC or laptop with the USB connection for further evaluation and report generation. A headset connection also allows you to record a 15 second voice memo per scan to minimize the need for detailed notes.
The PS 200 also has a block scan capability, which allows you to stitch up to nine scans together to easily scan larger areas. Multiple scanners also can be used with one monitor for more productivity.
Hilti stands behind the PS 200 with its Two Year Full Service Program, which includes shipping, maintenance service, repair and replacement of all worn or defective parts, functional testing and adjustment and safety check after any repair.*
