Real-Time IR Camera facilitates thermal imaging process.
Real-Time IR Camera facilitates thermal imaging process.

January 3, 2006 - Using Windows XP laptop or desktop computer for control and display, 221 IR camera provides thermal data acquisition, analysis, and storage capabilities. Temperatures from 0-550ºC can be measured and displayed with ±2% accuracy and thermal resolution of 0.1ºC. Lens options determine spatial resolution and field-of-view, while ambient temperature compensation ensures stable, repeatable measurements in non-temperature controlled environments.

New Realtime IR Camera makes Thermal Imaging Affordable Process Control Engineers

Using a Personal Computer for control and display, the innovative 221 infrared camera provides fast thermal data acquisition, analysis and storage at a fraction of the cost of other cameras. Temperatures from 0º C to 550º C can be measured and displayed with 2% accuracy. Automated acquisition of thermal data is accomplished using software available from the company. Training time and cost for new operators is kept low through the use of an intuitive user interface.

Portland, OR December 1, 2005

Compix Incorporated introduced a new IR camera designed to work with any Windows XP laptop or desktop computer. It is targeted at applications requiring realtime measurement, analysis and storage of temperature data. "The price, performance and ease of use means any company can now easily incorporate thermal imaging into their operation" said Rick Crall, Compix President.

The camera provides temperature measurements from 0º C to 550º C with accuracies of +/-2%. Thermal resolution is 0.1ºC. Lens options are available that determine spatial resolution and field- of-view. Ambient temperature compensation assures stable, repeatable measurements in non-temperature controlled environments

New, optional lenses permit the camera to address a wide range of temperature measurement applications. Small size, a rugged case and ambient temperature compensation make the 221 suitable for use in harsh environments.

The camera comes standard with WinTES2 camera control and image analysis software. Additional software options include plug-in modules that allow the camera to be used in data-logging as well as temperature screening and process control applications.

Thermal screening software is available and is used in such varied applications as SARs screening in airports as well as process control in manufacturing.

Compix Incorporated designs, manufactures and sells radiometric thermal imaging systems used worldwide in electronic design engineering and reliability engineering. The company was an early pioneer in the use of thermal imaging for reliability analysis of computer disk drives and cell phones. The company's products are widely used in the worldwide manufacture of electronic circuit boards, a basic building block of most electronic products.
