Smithfield, RI -- Uvex has expanded its extensive lens assortment for Uvex FitLogic(tm) Safety Eyewear to include a selection of reading magnifiers, ideal for workers who require magnification for fine detail work, reading or inspection. With a workforce that is aging, more safety directors are finding the need to add safety eyewear with reading magnifiers to their offering. Individual bifocal readers are molded onto a clear Uvex FitLogic lens and are available in +1.5, +2.0, and +2.5 diopter strengths.
Uvex FitLogic features a floating lens design that provides excellent ventilation to minimize fogging. The extended wraparound lens also provides extra cheek and side coverage and is made of optically perfected polycarbonate to block 99.9% of UV rays. Uvex FitLogic magnifier lenses are hard coated to provide additional protection from scratching.
Utilizing a combination of design and material technology, Uvex FitLogic is the first safety eyewear that lets wearers adjust their eyewear at four different points to match their own custom fit profile. This gives the wearer the flexibility to position the magnifier in the correct position for each person's face.
An innovative frame design with a cushioned, lightweight browbar adjusts to the wearer's face. Soft and flexible with spring-like action, the Uvex FitLogic frame has enough tension to fit comfortably on wide faces and securely on narrow faces. A pioneering nosepiece design rotates 360 degrees, pivots and slants in and out to provide a precise fit for almost any nose bridge. In addition, the temple arms ratchet up and down, then click securely in place to contour fit cheek profiles. Soft temple tips lengthen with a precise sliding action to provide better behind-the-ear comfort and many adjustment possibilities.
