July 19, 2007 - Offering at-a-glance characterization, RTCal(TM) provides process R&D chemists and engineers with tool that can be used alone or together with heat flow method to provide additional data. Measurement is based on built-in heat flux sensor and independent of properties or behavior of reaction mass. While unit does not require any calibration, it lets user make adjustments to actual chemistry and optimization of process parameters online.

RTCal(TM) - Characterize Your Reaction at a Glance

Columbia, MD - METTLER TOLEDO is proud to announce the latest and leading edge technology for measuring heat data online.

RTCal(TM) is a tool for process research and development chemists and engineers. with measurement based on a built-in heat flux sensor, providing highly reliable and accurate data.

RTCal(TM) is complementary to the traditional heat flow method, and can be used alone or together with heat flow to provide additional data offering better information. However, since RTCal(TM) does not require any calibrations, experiment times may be substantially shorter.

Measurements with RTCal(TM) are independent of properties or behavior of the reaction mass. Therefore, investigations of previously difficult-to-study chemistries, including polymerizations, homogenous and heterogeneous reactions, become easier.

As a built-in analytical method to provide the most-relevant safety information, RTCal allows you to make adjustments to the actual chemistry and optimization of process parameters online.

Because RTCal(TM) can be applied already in small scale at an early stage it helps reduce development time, resources and consumption of precious material and brings tremendous value for pharmaceutical ,fine chemical and polymer industries.

METTLER TOLEDO is dedicated to chemical and process development, counting all major chemical companies as well as the top 20 pharmaceutical companies as customers.

Additional information about RTCal(TM) can be found at http://www.mt.com/RTCal.
