Fiberglass plenum box with ceiling radiation damper is designed as 1 and 1.5 in. thick rigid ductboard with registers/grilles or drop duct applications. Available in I, J, and K models with standard sizes ranging from 8 x 4 to 16 x 16. J and K models are offered in either R4.2 or R6.0 insulation thickness. All ceiling radiation dampers hold ARL approval for 1 hr fire resistance rating for use in UL Fire Resistance Rated Wood Truss Assemblies.

Lloyd Now Offers Fiberglass Ceiling Radiation Dampers
MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA (7/17/06) - Lloyd Industries has developed a UL-approved fiberglass plenum box with ceiling radiation damper (CRD) available in three model styles. Drawing from the company's existing sheet metal CRD product line, Lloyd Industries has designed the fiberglass plenum boxes in 1" and 1.5" thick rigid ductboard with registers/grilles or drop duct applications.
The fiberglass units include the "I" model with sleeve less a plenum box, model "J" for sleeve with knocked down plenum box or the "K" model which is a sleeve with completely assembled plenum box. Each is available in standard sizes ranging from 8x4 to 16x16 with the "J" and "K" models offered in either a R4.2 or R6.0 insulation thickness. Knocked down units can be assembled in the field and still be U.L. approved, which saves on shipping charges.
For versatile installation options, the CRD-50 fiberglass construction is designed as a blind box to allow contractors to connect round ductwork as needed for numerous angle arrangements. A plaster flange creates a smooth, clean finish and models can be ordered with an optional boot clip assembly. All ceiling radiation dampers also hold ARL approval for a one-hour fire resistance rating for use in U.L. Fire Resistance Rated Wood Truss Assemblies.
