June 4, 2014 - Implementing Doppler Radar technology, Model RVM accurately measures surface velocity of open channel flow. Portable unit features automatic vertical angle compensation and user-adjustable horizontal angle compensation, which is adjustable in 5° increments. Flow velocity can be measured bi-directionally with user-selectable directional modes. Supplied with rechargeable batteries, 12 Vdc car charger, and case, meter can indicate flow velocity in feet per second or meters per second.

Dwyer Instruments, Inc., the preferred source for your complete range of practical and affordable instrumentation, is announcing the release of its NEW MODEL RVM PORTABLE RADAR VELOCITY METER.

The Model RVM Portable Radar Velocity Meter implements Doppler Radar technology to accurately measure surface velocity of open channel flow. The “point-and-shoot” design along with automatic vertical angle compensation provides easy to use operation. Model RVM also has user-adjustable horizontal angle compensation, which is adjustable in 5° increments and helps to further reduce measurement error. Flow velocity can be measured bi-directionally with user-selectable directional modes. These features make this meter great for monitoring flow in open channels such as rivers and streams where typical meters are impractical. This unit features a backlit LCD for easy viewing and indicates flow velocity in feet per second or meters per second. This bundle includes the hand held meter, rechargeable batteries, a 12 VDC car charger for easy charging while on the go, and a rugged case to help ensure the safety of the meter and other contents.
