March 10, 2014 - Cooled by 2 rear-mounted fans, FWS-7400 has 6 Gigabit Ethernet ports with option for 2 pairs LAN bypass. Network Interface Module (NIM) expansion slot supports additional GbE or Fiber Optical connections, and up to 16 GB of DDR3 1,600 MHz of system memory is supported. With 3 rear-mounted fans, FWS-7810 is equipped with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports. Unit supports up to 32 GB DDR3 1,600 MHz of system memory and PCIe expansion slots. Both systems offer console port and 6.0 Gbps SATA connectors.

Taipei, Taiwan — AAEON, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, today announces the FWS-7810 and FWS-7400 1U network appliances featuring support of 4th generation IntelŽ Core™ processors at varying clock speeds in dual & quad core designs.

Cooled by two rear mounted fans, the FWS-7400 comes configured with six Gigabit Ethernet ports with an option for two pairs LAN bypass. With three rear mounted fans, the FWS-7810 is equipped with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports. For greater flexibility, the FWS-7400 features one Network Interface Module (NIM) expansion slot to support additional GbE or Fiber Optical connections and up to 16GB of DDR3 1600 MHz of system memory is supported. The FWS-7810 can support up to 32GB of DDR3 1600 MHz of system memory and PCIe expansion slots.

In keeping with the storage and bandwidth needs of today’s demanding cloud computing applications and high data rate content streams that web users have come to expect, both systems offer a console port for easy maintenance and high speed, high capacity storage options. With two onboard 6.0Gb/s SATA connectors, the FWS-7400 equips either one Internal 3.5” SATA or two 2.5” SATA hard disks, whereas the FWS-7810 offers expandability with up to three SATA ports, as well as RAID 0,1 support..
