Taipei, Taiwan, -Moxa is proud to release the DA-710, an x86-based fanless rackmount embedded computer with modular flexibility. This new addition is based on the Intel x86 processor and supports USB, VGA, and CompactFlash, and is equipped with four Ethernets ports and two RS-232 serial ports. Moxa's DA-710 makes for an ideal platform for industrial applications thank to its standard 19-inch, 4U high form factor. In addition, the modular expansion design allows users to tailor their embedded computers.

The innovative DA-710 is designed for power substations; this rugged industrial computer offers a wide range of applications for multitasking in a single power substation central management system. Moxa's DA-710 can put an end to system instability and simplify maintenance problems often associated with traditional multi-backend host servers.

The DA-710 not only features a high performance Intel processor, but it also comes with four PCI slots for inserting assorted expansion modules to cater to the needs of different applications. Modules include: an 8-port RS-232/422/485 module (available with isolation, DB9 or terminal block), a 4-port 10/100 Mbps LAN module, an 8-port RS-232/485 module, an 8-port 10/100 switch module, an 8-port RS-422/485 module, an 8-port module, and a universal PCI expansion module. Swapping of modules is quick and effortless.
