Ultra-Thin Rackmount CompactPCI Platform for Networking Applications
BROCKTON, MA — CG Mupac introduces a new ultra-thin 1U rackmount platform for Internet/Intranet Data Networking and other applications where a maximum depth of 12.5" is desired. Designated the 582 Series, the enclosure measures 1U (1.75") high, 17" wide, and 12.5" deep, allowing up to 42 units in a standard 6' x 19" rack cabinet.
The 582 Series enclosure features a two-slot CompactPCI® backplane that supports 32- and 64-bit PCI architectures and complies with Basic Hot Swap (PICMG® 2.1), Telephony (H.110, PICMG 2.5), and IPMI (PICMG 2.9). The chassis provides for the mounting of one embedded 3.5" hard drive and one Slim Line CDROM. Its two-slot, 6U subrack permits front and rear loading and is compliant with IEEE 1101.10 and 1101.11.
A 200-watt ATX power supply is standard. Coding keys allow the backplane to be operated at 3.3 or 5 volts. The unit’s positive-pressure cooling scheme uses three 7-cfm fans to ensure optimal airflow to all critical components. Front and rear ESD jacks fulfill the requirements of NEBS III. Options include Fabric backplanes, custom logos, and a variety of paint colors. Designed for superior serviceability, the 582 Series enclosure carries a two-year limited warranty and complies with the following standards: NEBS, FCC Class A, UL 60950, CSA 22.2, PICMG 2.0 Rev. 3.0, and CE.
