Tripp Lite Introduces New SmartRack Enclosures Designed for Colocation Facilities
New split-cabinet rack designs offer colocation managers more options
Chicago, IL (August 10, 2009) Tripp Lite has introduced two new colocation models into its SmartRack Enclosure line that provides managers an affordable option for building a seamless, aesthetic facility. In addition to having all the most popular features of the standard SmartRack line, the new split-compartment models can bay together with other colocation or standard rack models, offering two compartments of rental space and providing full rack systems capable of fitting into any hosted colocation environment.
Benefits and Key Features:
o SR42UBCL and SR48UBCL models offer 2 separated compartments of 19U or 22U rack space allowing colocation facilities to offer full-or half-rack rental options - all in the footprint of a single enclosure
o Equipped with a standard combination/keyed-entry lock and a center-dividing panel, SmartRack colocation models provide complete segregation and security for each compartment
o Adjustable mounting rails and depths accommodate all standard 19' equipment
o Front-to-rear airflow exceeds server manufacturers' requirements to save money on cooling and energy costs
"Tripp Lite's colocation rack models are a profitable investment for any colocation facility," said Craig Watkins, Tripp Lite Product Manager. "We've provided colocation managers the option of renting out half-, as well as full-rack spaces, which no longer alienates customers that may not need the full-rack option. And since these models have all the features of our standard racks, colocation managers can have a seamless, unified-design rack system."
