January 31, 2011 - Model 124048, high-frequency RFID tag installs on door frame to monitor and report on door status, and enables users to track enclosure access attempts. Featuring transmission range of more than 30 ft, unit broadcasts unique ID and door status message every 10 sec, and has battery life of up to 7 yr. Product includes active RFID tag, magnet assembly, and industrial-strength adhesive backing to ease installation. It is impact and splash resistant as well as temperature stable.

High Frequency Rack Door RFID Tag


Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has launched this high frequency rack door RFID tag, which is installed on the door frame to monitor and report the door status. It enables users to track enclosure access attempts using the active RFID asset inventorying infrastructure.

This HF rack door RFID tag, model 124048, operates at a frequency of 433.92MHz and provides a typical transmission range of more than 30ft. It consists of an active RFID tag and a corresponding magnet assembly. The tag broadcasts its unique ID and the door status message every 10 seconds and features an industrial-strength adhesive backing for quick and easy installation. Its form factor ensures clear signal transmission in high-density rack and data center deployments. This RFID tag uses super anti-collision technology for high tag densities and operates with a very low duty cycle ensuring a long battery life of up to 7 years. In addition, this rack door tag is impact resistant, splash resistant and temperature stable.
