Model 9257 Dual Channel RS530 DB25 A/B Switch Features Independent Channel Switching


Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, USA, announces the new Model 9257 dual-channel RS530 DB25 A/B Switch. This manual switch features independent switching.

The Model 9257 RS530 DB25 A/B Switch Box allows the user to access two DB25 interface devices connected to its A and B ports with one DB25 interface device connected to its COMMON port for each channel. Independent switching of each of the two channels is accomplished via the two rotary knobs located on the front panel.

The versatile Model 9257 incorporates a high-quality sealed switch with self-wiping low impedance contacts. The attractive anodized black box packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding. This switch is housed in a slim rackmount configuration and fits perfectly into a standard 19” rack. The switch dimensions are 19.0” W x 1.75” H x 8.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm). The switch weighs approximately 4.5 lbs (2.0 kg). This switch is available for export worldwide.

This reliable switch comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects. There is no power required for this manually operated switch. All 25 pins of the DB25 interface are switched. The switch is transparent to data speed and format. Utilizing a switch such as the Model 9257 eliminates the need to plug and unplug cables increasing efficiency and eliminating wear and tear on the cable connectors. The switch has (3) DB25 female connectors for each of the two channels labeled A and B and COMMON.

Custom length cables are available from Electro Standards Laboratories for the switch installation. The cables are DB25/DB25 data cables, PVC, Low-Cap, shielded, extended distance cables. Other cable types and configurations are also available.
