Dyadem Improves Risk Lifecycle Management for Process Manufacturers

New Software Solution Provides Unified Platform for Managing Risks Across an Organization

TORONTO, April 16 - Adding a new offering to its Stature risk management platform, Dyadem today announced a new enterprise risk lifecycle management software that helps process manufacturers mitigate and monitor risks across their organizations. Dyadem, the leader in Risk Lifecycle Management and Quality Lifecycle Management, has enhanced its Stature platform to help companies unify risk management on a single enterprise-wide platform.

Process manufacturing companies face not only regulatory hurdles but also day-to-day risks in the handling of chemicals and petrochemicals. From incident management and management of change through to action tracking, companies need the ability to share and communicate lessons learned and best practices, and continuously improve their risk management processes.

Risk Lifecycle Management is a daunting task for any organization, and with variations in global safety regulations is best managed by a common enterprise platform. Stature RLM is built to mitigate risks, document processes and improve the safety and efficiency of process manufacturing, including industries like oil & gas, wastewater treatment, and chemical manufacturing. A common enterprise platform for Risk Lifecycle Management provides a standard library for employees to reference when cataloging process risks and a mechanism for identifying best practices.

Organizations face an alphabet soup of regulations from agencies like the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), which protects the safety and health of the nation's workforce; the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which works toward a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people; and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which responds to threats and hazards to the nation. Each regulation requires different paperwork yet many are similar in their information gathering and methodologies. Stature RLM allows companies to capture information and assess risk from the various types of risk assessments, and then re-use the information in a variety of reports.

"The Stature Risk Lifecycle Management solution has helped us formalize and ensure risk reduction in our Management of Change process," said Bruno Charest, manager of technical services, ParaChem Chemicals L.P. "We have realized many benefits from using the solution -- increased visibility of risk across departments, standardization of processes and improved reporting capabilities. Based on the continued success with the Stature solution, we have decided to scale our implementation to include Incident Management."

Unidentified threats pose the greatest potential damage to businesses of all sizes, and Stature RLM helps organizations identify and prioritize risks that are often unaccounted for with spreadsheet- or clipboard-based risk management plans. Most organizations use multiple, isolated systems for their risk lifecycle management and suffer excessive administration costs and disparate quality standards as a result.

Stature RLM enables communication and collaboration across the enterprise when assessing hazards, modifying existing procedures and developing best- practices. All incident management actions are tied to a common framework to ensure that information is shared across divisions and facilities as well as carried forward from one assessment to the next. This continuous improvement process is then based on common language and processes and best practices can be easily communicated and implemented. The enhanced visibility and automated reporting functions ensure compliance with government mandates and industry regulations.

"Companies stand to gain more than just risk reduction if they embark on an environmental, health and safety transformation journey and evolve from a fragmented collection of point solutions to a consistent, enterprise-wide platform model," said Gartner analyst Dan Miklovic in "Turning Environmental Health and Safety [EH&S] Challenges Into Benefits," published February 28, 2008.

"Our customers understand that the benefits of Risk Lifecycle Management are a true competitive advantage in their industries. As competition tightens they are looking for a global platform for managing risk," said Kevin North, president and CEO, Dyadem. "Stature is the only platform that enables the development and implementation of a truly comprehensive risk management solution on a global scale."

An effective risk management solution ensures the health and safety of employees, promotes business continuity, protects the environment and reduces the amount of wasted or lost products and production material. Stature RLM brings the four main components of risk management - Risk Assessment; Process Management; Visibility, and Knowledge Management - into a single, unified platform. Modules such as Incident Management, Management of Change and Process Hazard Analysis allow organizations to build up to a full enterprise-wide Risk Lifecycle Management platform and choose the most important areas of concern as they build up. Stature RLM is available immediately.
