Model 7009 RJ45 A/B/Offline Switch Modules Offer a 100 Base-T, Cat 5e Compliant, Modular Expandable System!
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new Model 7009 RJ45 A/B/Offline Switch Module with Contact Closure Remote Port. Each M7009 allows the user to connect a single RJ45 interfaced device to either of two RJ45 interfaced devices, or to be isolated from both of them by being switched to an Offline position.
The Model 7009 also offers the flexibility of manual pushbutton control or remote control via contact closure and meets Cat 5e signal integrity specifications. All switched signals are passed via copper contact relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of a power loss or failure. All 8 pins of the RJ45 interface are switched and the switch ports are transparent to all data. M7009 can also be used as a modular expandable system when purchased in conjunction with the Model 9030 Rack which provides room for up to eight of the switch modules. M9030 Rack also supplies necessary power to the modules by utilizing a power bus cable, included with the unit.
