Datalogic Introduces Matrix 400 2D RFID Imager

Bologna, 23 October 2007. Matrix 400 features higher reading performance and improved flexibility to drastically increase its field of use from the traditional Manufacturing to entry level Distribution and Warehousing applications.

The two sensor versions available (1.3 Megapixel-SXGA and 2.0 Megapixel-UXGA), combined with powerful internal lightings and adjustable C-Mount lenses, guarantee accuracy in decoding and verifying different resolutions Symbologies at various distances on large Field of View. Powerful proprietary decoding libraries provide the Matrix 400 with excellent performance on printed and DPM (Direct Part Marked) applications, even on damaged and low quality codes.

Installation and maintenance are easier than ever thanks to the innovative X-PRESS interface. A multi-function push button sets all relevant functions such as aiming, focusing (through Datalogic patented Blue Diamonds System), automatic imager calibration and code setting.

The new Matrix 400 was designed focusing on the overall ease of use of the imager. XPRESS interface provides prompt feedbacks during standard operations and an additional Green Spot was introduced to grant immediate Good Read visual response. Moreover, Run Time Self-Tuning (RTST) function increases Matrix's ease of operation by an automatic run time setting of the reader in presence of uncontrolled and variable reading conditions.

The innovative modular design, the use of focus adjustable C-Mount lenses and the availability of a large set of accessories provide high flexibility in covering application with larger FoV, extended DoF even on high resolution code. Matrix 400 is also a very versatile product with top level performance on DPM (Direct Part Marked) reading jointly with accurate Code Quality Verification capability (according to ISO/IEC and IAQG standards).

The rugged full metal construction, IP67 protection and max operative temperature of 50°C makes Matrix 400 the ideal product for industrial applications in harsh environments.
