J.W. Miller’s New Conformal Coated Choke 79F Series Offers High Performance in Sub-Miniature Package

GARDENA, Calif. – March 21, 2004 – J.W. Miller Magnetics, a leading providing of custom and standard magnetic components, has expanded its extensive Conformal Coated RF Choke line to include the new 79F Series. The 79F features a significantly smaller subminiature design, just 0.10" in diameter with a 0.16" length, and incorporates many of the excellent design characteristics inherent in the company’s existing Series 5300, 77F, 78F and 8230 Conformal Coated Chokes.

The device’s subminiature size combined with its high Q value and high frequency performance characteristics, make it ideally suited for a wide range of high-density applications including computers and computer peripherals, telecommunication, EMI filters, and consumer electronics such as audio, TV, VCR, DVD, DSS set-top boxes, car navigation systems, and game consoles.

Manufactured with an epoxy coating for maximum durability and protection against harsh environments, the 79F Series features an inductance range of 0.10 µH – 470 µH, an operating temperature of -55 to 105°C and dielectric strength of 500Vrms. Other special features include high Q, high self resonant frequency up to 300 MHz, ferrite bobbin core, color band identification and low cost.

The 79F Conformal Coated RF Choke Series is priced from $0.06 each in production quantities and is available with 4-6 week delivery. For complete details on the 79F Conformal Coated RF Choke Series, please visit www.jwmiller.com/pdf2/79F.pdf
