October 20, 2005 - Consisting of alumina-filled epoxy compound, Ceramic Repair Putty(TM) is engineered to form smooth barrier against abrasion, corrosion, cavitation, and chemical attack. Non-sagging product covers 66 sq-in./lb at thickness of ¼ in. Applied with trowel, putty fills voids, protecting equipment from further damage. Pot life is 25 min, and functional cure is attained in 16 hr at room temperature. Once cured, putty withstands service temperatures to 150°F wet and 350°F dry.

Tough Putty Repairs Worn Metal


DANVERS, MA - Ceramic Repair Putty(TM) from Devcon is a fast, economical way to repair or rebuild worn or damaged process equipment. This alumina-filled epoxy compound is engineered to form a smooth, long-lasting barrier against abrasion, corrosion, cavitation, and chemical attack.

Easily applied with a trowel, Ceramic Repair Putty fills voids and improves the performance of critical equipment such as pump casings, impellers, suction plates, tube sheets, heat exchangers, condensers, water boxes, valves, chutes, tanks, hoppers, fan housings, etc. Its exceptional durability also protects equipment from further damage, dramatically extending the service life of process equipment. Ceramic Repair Putty's 100% solids formulation produces no VOC emissions. Nonsagging, it covers
66 square inches per pound at a thickness of ¼". Pot life is 25 minutes, and functional cure is attained in 16 hours at room temperature. When cured, it withstands service temperatures up to 150° F wet, 350° F dry. Ceramic Repair Putty qualifies under military specification DOD-C-24176B(SH) Type I.
