IPSec Capability Now Offered in BlueTree's 5000v2 and 6000-Series Products
Las Vegas, NV - CTIA WIRELESS, April 2nd, 2009 - BlueTree Wireless Data Inc., a division of SIXNET, LLC, leading developer and manufacturer of rugged wireless modems, today announced its much anticipated embedded IPSec VPN software, which offers customers a simple to deploy and easy to use VPN solution, at the CTIA show being held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As more and more devices leverage the "public" internet for M2M communication, strong security becomes crucial. IPSec is a suite of protocols specified by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) which add security to the IP layer of internet traffic. Adding security at the IP layer allows IPSec to secure all common internet traffic. IPSec has become the industry standard mechanism for securing internet communications.
