Large Metal Enclosure With Air Conditioning Unit Available From STI
March 8, 2007 - This heavy-duty air conditioned version of the STI Protective Cabinet (STI-7560AC) from Safety Technology International Inc. of Waterford, Michigan, allows outdoor rated fire alarm control panels to be protected from extreme temperatures or other areas requiring NEMA 4 protection. The extra large, super tough, metal enclosure offers protection against vandalism, either accidental or intentional, as well as dirt, dust and grime. Unlike competitive models, this enclosure has a clear window allowing the unit within to be seen and quickly identified.
To help maintain the correct range of operating temperatures, the AC unit cycles as required and a fan runs continuously to sustain a uniform temperature inside the enclosure. Cabinet is cost effective, low maintenance and has a compact design. The stainless steel AC unit is externally mounted to minimize space intrusion.
The large protector's dimensions are impressive. The maximum size unit the housing can protect is 36 x 24 x 8.92 inches (914 x 609 x 226 mm). This allows clearance for proper air circulation. This NEMA 4 Certified enclosure mounts on the wall enabling units to be protected in their designated location. Mounting hardware is included and tamperproof mounting screws are available.
