Featuring in-line, pass through design with welded steel frame, ABOT-DUO(TM) utilizes 2 feeding conveyors for optimized throughput. Self-feeding, self-aligning machine measures size of each incoming case to automatically find programmed cut line on 3 or 4 sides. Cases and cartons, ranging in size from 4 in.³ to 30 x 21 x 19 in., can be fed manually or via upstream conveyors at rates to 1,000 boxes/hr in any order or mixed.

Spring, TX, December 15, 2006, (Robotica Inc.) Cornerstone Automation Systems Inc. announces a new product in the ABOT family. ABOT-DUO(TM) is an in-line pass through programmable box opener for automating manual box cutting operations. DUO is an extension of ABOT-ONE, which utilizes one feeding conveyor. ABOT-DUO uses two in feeds on a single machine for increased throughput.
ABOT is a smart machine, measuring the size of each incoming case to automatically find the programmed cut line on three or four sides. Boxes are fed in any order or mix without the need to run same size batches or group sizes together. ABOT(TM) systems are completely automatic self feeding and self aligning. All material handling is included. Cases and cartons can be fed manually or via upstream conveyors at rates up to 1000 boxes per hour, and handles boxes ranging from 4" x 4" x 4" to 30" x 21" x 19" (L x W x H). Options to handle larger box sizes are available.
ABOT(TM) Automated Box Opening Technology is designed to improve efficiency in packaging operations and reduce labor and injuries associated with manually cutting boxes.
Features include heavy welded steel frame construction with main frame components fabricated from 4" welded steel tube with heavy gauge steel panels and guarding. The front side panel and access door is .75 in thick Lexan for rigidity and safety.
