VP-25W1: ViewPAC Controller with 5.7" Display and Window CE.NET 5.0 Inside

Hybridization. ICP DAS broke new ground when it combined the power and flexibility of PC-based control with the efficiency and simplicity of PLCs in its early Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). Our current line of ViewPACs represents a new generation of automation, retaining all the functionality of PACs and adding to it the interactive features of HMI: visual display and keypad. Our model in the ViewPAC line, sports a PXA270 520MHz CPU runs Windows CE.NET 5.0 OS, various communication options (USB, Ethernet, RS-232/485), 3 slots for I/O expansion, a 5.7" TFT LCD touch screen with 640 x 480 resolution and rubber keypad. Merging technologies into a seamless whole improves performance and efficiency. This translates into what all businesses want: higher productivity and smoother operation.

A key advantage of the VP-25W1 is its Windows CE.NET 5.0 operating system. The list of features recommending this OS for automation is long, but perhaps the most striking is that it allows the VP-25W1 to run a sweep of software programs often exclusive to PCs such as Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#, Embedded Visual C++, SCADA software, Soft PLC and more. Throw in design advantages like robust real-time capacity, small core size, brisk boot speed, sophisticated interrupt handling and achievable deterministic control all at competitive pricing and we're looking at a clever slice of technology. This controller breathes communication: an FTP Server and VCEP software allow remote maintenance via Ethernet. VCEP can connect the ViewPAC and PC in such a way that all actions (screen, keyboard, mouse) mirror or synchronize with one another, a powerful way to manage and update the VP-25W1. With so many types of machine communication out there we've equipped the VP-25W1 with Quicker, a built-in OPC Server for SCADA Software with integrated omnibus software package that combines OPC, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU services, and Scan kernel support. The Server makes possible the integration of local and remote I/O modules, a highly adaptive solution. Software development is easy with available eVC, C# or VB.NET demo programs and libraries. Modbus and DCON Protocols are supported and developers can take advantage of Visual Studio.NET 2003/2005/2008 and eVC software development. All the trademark strengths of ICP DAS devices are present: serious protection from electrical disturbances, physical robustness and the ability to withstand a sweep of temperatures. The VP-25W1 makes sure your technology doesn't get stranded. It brings it all together.
