New Production Centrifuge for the Bioprocessing Industry

FOXBORO, MA USA -- Celeros Inc. has launched their NEW Model APD-250 Centrifuge employing a tubular bowl with a working volume of 40 liters.

This NEW unit is 8 times larger than their highest capacity systems currently in use enabling the system to process bioreactor harvests of up to 10,000 liters in a single shift.

The APD-250 is a large scale production centrifuge that is capable of generating up to 20,000 x G of separating force producing the driest paste and clearest centrate of any industrial centrifuge available for the biotech industry.

The Celeros APD-250 Centrifuge utilizes a patented Automatic Piston Discharge (APD) system to completely transfer separated solids from the bowl without operator intervention or excessive loss of centrate.

"The Celeros APD series centrifuges generate the highest production yields for a centrifugation step in the industry. Until now, their use has been limited by capacity to development labs or small scale manufacturing applications." Said Wayne Nettnay, V.P. of Sales & Marketing.

"This high capacity machine extends the innovative Celeros technology into large scale manufacturing environments. This breakthrough separation system sets new standards for yield and purity and will provide tremendous economic benefits. "
