May 8, 2009 - Heated by oil, diesel, or kerosene, Super Max® 12860AF and 12880AF offer acid phosphate treatment to prevent rust or corrosion, plus steam and hot/cold water cleaning in single unit. Downstream injection systems apply cleaning chemicals at low pressure and then rinse with water at higher pressure. Providing hot water temperatures of 180 or 220°F and steam up to 330°F, electric-powered 12860AF and gasoline-powered 12880AF both generate up to 3,000 psi and 5 gpm flow rates.

Daimer Industries Announces Two Pressure Washers with Phosphatizing Systems

Super Max® 12860AF and 12880AF machines offer acid phosphate treatment plus steam and hot and cold water cleaning in a single unit.

WOBURN, MA - April 27, 2009 - Daimer Industries, a leading manufacturer and distributor of commercial cleaning products, introduced two tri-mode pressure washers with phosphatizing systems, which are used to pretreat metal surfaces prior to painting or coating.

"The Super Max® 12860AF and 12880AF can operate as standard pressure washers or as phosphatizing systems to prevent rust or corrosion on surfaces prior to finishing," said Matthew Baratta, Daimer spokesman. "The machines offer serious power and are ideal for our manufacturing and metal fabrication customers."

Technology

Super Max® AF machines employ downstream injection systems that apply cleaning chemicals at low pressure and then rinse with water at a higher pressure. With downstream injection the chemicals contact only the injector, high-pressure hose, trigger gun, wand and nozzle -- all components that are easy to protect against corrosion.

These phosphatizing systems include:

o A stainless-steel downstream injector with chemical proportioning adjustment.

o Stainless steel fittings and parts from the injector to the nozzles.

o A stainless-steel, dual-lance wand with crossover valve. The wand has one trigger gun and two side-by-side tubes that form the lance. The outlet of one tube has a high-pressure nozzle and the other a low-pressure nozzle. By opening and closing a crossover valve the water flow is directed through either the high-pressure nozzle or the low-pressure nozzle.

o A clear plastic siphon pickup tube with a foot screen exiting the front of the machine to draw chemical directly from a bucket or drum.

o An on/off panel valve for chemical pickup.

The 12860AF and 12880AF pressure washers also sport tri-mode technology, which allows the equipment to provide steam, hot water and cold water depending on the cleaning situation. These oil-, diesel- or kerosene-heated units provide hot water temperatures of 180º F to 220º F and steam temperatures as high as 330º F.

Both pressure washers generate up to 3000 psi of pressure and 5 GPM flow-rates. The 12860 AF is powered by electricity, the 12880 AF by gasoline.

The machines feature continuous-use capabilities for improved productivity and industrial-strength, heavy duty schedule 80 heating coil for increased durability. Options available at additional cost include: multi-gun operation, adjustable pressures and a wet-sandblasting system.

Both mobile pressure washers are on wheels and include: a 50-foot, high-pressure steam hose; four assorted nozzles; and a powder-coated steel case.
