Apollo® PVB 4A Series Pressure Vacuum Breakers Part of New Backflow Preventer Family

MATTHEWS, NC - Apollo® Valves is now offering a new series of pressure vacuum breakers (PVBs) featuring a unique modular check valve design. Designated the PVB 4A Series, the new PVBs save time and money in irrigation system applications.

The PVB 4A Series are part of a new backflow preventer family from Apollo that also includes DC 4A double check assemblies and RP 4A reduced pressure principle assemblies. All three new series are built around a self-contained "captured spring" check module that is easily removable for maintenance or replacement.

The new modular checks allow for a more compact body design, which reduces costs.

The checks are also interchangeable in the same sizes between all three valves in the 4A Series family. This simplifies repair operations and helps contractors reduce parts inventory.

The PVB 4A incorporates a standard freeze protection feature and stainless steel shutoff handles. The all-bronze body of the 4A Series PVBs resists corrosion for extended service life. Maximum working pressure is 175 PSI; operating temperature range is 33° to 140°F.

All Apollo 4A Series backflow preventers are manufactured and tested in the USA in ISO 9001:2000 registered facilities. The latest information on approvals is available from the factory.

For more information on Apollo 4A Series PVBs, or to place an order, contact an Apollo representative or call Apollo Valves customer service at (704) 841-6000; fax: (704) 841-6020. You can find Apollo 4A backflow preventers online at www.apollovalves.com.
