New Solid State Pressure & Temperature Switch Offers High Current Output to Switch Loads Directly

Watertown, MA – United Electric Controls announces the addition of a 10-ampere, 280 VAC solid-state relay switching output to the popular One Series electronic switch product line. Joining the line of innovative 2-Wire models powered by a PLC for low current switching, the new One Series 4-Wire handles many local switching applications with large loads, including compressor protection, pump control and motor starter circuits. With built-in decision making capability and high-current switching capacity, the One Series 4-Wire can provide a local switch wired directly to high current relays or contactors.

The One Series combines solid-state reliability with continues diagnostics and self-checking to assure users of dependable and precise operation, and repeatability of 0.1% of full range span. The One Series carries agency approval for installation in hazardous locations, including Class 1, Div 2 and Zone 2 atmospheres. A selection of pressure ranges cover 0 to 4500 psi (310 bar), and temperature ranges from -50 to + 450 °F (-45 to + 232 °C). Set points are adjusted via the front keypad and digital display, protected from unauthorized access. On-off dead bands are adjustable, 0 to 100% of range, enabling precise tuning of pump on/off control, level staging, or alarm trip and re-set signals.

The new One Series uses a 115 VAC power supply to power the switch electronics. The switch output can handle up to 10 amps at 280 VAC. Simple installation, quick set up in just 60 seconds, and pricing as low as $375 list, make the One Series the ideal solution to upgrading existing instrumentation systems. Incorporating an electronic switch and a LCD display in one instrument allows the One Series 4-Wire to effectively replace a mechanical switch and a gauge – using only one process tap.
