New Low-Cost, Explosion-Proof Pressure Switch
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) has released the AST46SW Explosion-proof Pressure Switch. Complementing AST's complete offering of explosion proof pressure transmitters, the AST46SW offers a single pull, double throw configuration with factory-set switch points and hysteresis. Units are ideal for well optimization, oil and gas pipelines, drilling platforms, compression panels, CNG / hydrogen fill stations, paint booths and combustion controls.
Utilizing AST's proprietary Krystal Bond Technology(TM), the one-piece, stainless steel sensing element of the unit will measure pressure in the most extreme temperature conditions. Standard models are configured with 316L, 17-4 PH, or Inconel 718 materials. With a maximum operating pressure range up to 20,000 PSI (1,378 bar), the AST46SW will maintain high performance with zero signal drift due to an extremely thick and robust sensing diaphragm. Microprocessor technology produces excellent performance over a wide temperature range; advanced electronics, additionally, result in a compact overall size (one inch diameter and less than five inch overall length).
The AST46SW is CSA-approved for use in hazardous areas including Class 1 Div 1 Explosion proof Groups A, B, C and D, and for mining applications, Class 2 Div 1 Groups E, F and G.
