Units operate from -40 to +176°F and are available with max pressures of 100, 300, 500, 1,000, 3,000, and 5,000 psi. Equipped with ¼-18 NPTM thread, sensors can be customized to suit OEM requirements.

Sensor System Solutions, Inc. (3S) Announces Two New Low Cost Corrosive Environment Pressure Sensors


IRVINE, CA., May 25, 2006 - Sensor System Solutions, Inc. (OTC:BB SSYO), a manufacturer of (MEMS) sensors, intelligent sensor interface electronics and intelligent embedded control systems, today announced two new Pressure Sensor Models, 5400 & 5410 targeting large volume OEM applications in the refrigerant handling and recovery markets.

These units are specifically designed around a "Foil Gauge" technology that is suitable for sensitive environments, such as those in the pharmaceutical and food processing industries, where potential contamination when using oil-filled silicon sensors, must be avoided.

The basic product design is an expansion of 3S's reliable 5100 & 5110 products which have been re-engineered to achieve even lower costs.

Although targeted to these primary markets, the units are also suitable for corrosive environments and can be used in exercise equipment, mining, natural gas production, compressors, lubrication systems, waste water treatment, medical equipment as well as in hydraulic and fluid power systems. It features a sensor that is resistant to the measured media and is available in six (100, 300, 500, 1,000, 3,000, and 5,000 psi) pressure ranges.

These Models offer great solutions for applications with a harsh environments and can operate from -400 F to +1760 F. It is equipped with a ¼-18 NPTM thread, can be customized to suit OEM requirements, and have an optional Mini-Din connector available.
