New Series 7250 Digital Pressure Controller

Ruska is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Series 7250 High Speed Digital Pressure Controller/Calibrator which represents the 5th generation automated pressure controller from Ruska. The 7250 is the result of over 30 years of customer input, application experience, engineering technology and manufacturing capability.

The Series 7250 includes the latest control and display technology while incorporating the unique Ruska quartz sensor providing the highest precision and stability. Every quartz sensor installed in a 7250 is manufactured to the same exacting standards insuring every customer receives the highest performance possible.

The 7250 utilizes an active matrix, full color screen with a large, 6.4 inch diagonal viewing area. This easy to read display allows all menus to be displayed with full text descriptions and in multiple languages including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Chinese. The 7250 also features two user selectable control modes, Active mode and Passive mode. In Active mode, the 7250 will continuously control the set-point and correct for small leaks and temperature effects that may be present in the system. In Passive mode, the user is able to define an upper and lower limit around the set-point where the controller will deactivate once the pressure is within the limit settings. In a leak free and temperature stable system, no additional uncertainty or instability is contributed to the test or calibration.

Three 7250 models are available to meet different performance requirements and budgets. For maximum performance, the Model 7250xi contains multiple sensors and ranges to provide a precision of 0.005% of Reading from 5% to 100% of the instrument's range. A variety of ranges are available from 0-20 psi to 0-2500 psi. The 7250i provides the same performance over a range of 25% to 100% of the pressure range and is available in pressure ranges from 0-5 to 0-1000 psi. The economical 7250 provides a precision of 0.003% of full scale. In addition to the standard NIST traceable calibration certificate, Ruska can optionally provide a NVLAP accredited calibration certificate.

Every 7250 includes RS-232 and IEEE-488 interfaces. Additionally, Ruska's CalManager II software can be used with the 7250, popular DMM's, Multiplexers and Environmental Chambers to provide turn-key, fully automated calibration solutions.
