AIDA Launches New ULX-D Precision Servo Press
Dayton, Ohio - AIDA is proud to announce the launch of a new servo press version of its ULX series precision metalforming press, the ULX-D. The ULX-D precision servo press series is a completely new and innovative metal stamping press that combines the award winning features of the ULX Series (2004 "Ten Greatest Innovations Prize" - Daily Industrial Press), with the highly celebrated AIDA ServoPro system (2002 "10 Greatest Innovations Prize", 2004 "Japan Brand Prize", 2009 "10 Greatest Innovations Prize" - Daily Industrial Press). AIDA ServoPro, with its unique high-torque/low RPM servo motor design, offers completely programmable stroke and velocity profiles and a direct drive system.
ULX series high precision presses, which incorporate a highly rigid 9-point support system, zero-clearance slide gibs and a no con-rod design, have enabled customers to shift from secondary machining processes to high-precision, near-net-shape metalforming. Additionally, the ULX increases the life of the die and achieves high dynamic accuracy not possible in a conventional mechanical press. AIDA's ULX precision presses are the first presses to be more accurate than the die. The ULX-D Servo Press will provide customers with the ability to produce products with even higher accuracies, especially products formed via ironing, flattening, or bulging processes that are easily influenced by changes in forming speeds.
The ULX-D Series will not only be able to contribute to the manufacturing of major super-high precision parts demanded for by environment-related devices and safety-related components in automobiles, it is also expected to contribute to the development of new materials and new forming methods. Additionally the AIDA developed capacitor bank system enables the production of products with minimal energy consumption.
