New Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzer from AEMC

CAS DataLoggers Offers the New and Improved AEMC Powerpad III

CHESTERLAND OH — CAS DataLoggers and AEMC have partnered to announce an all-new version of the Power Pad—the 8336 Power Pad III. This Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzer is easy-to-use, compact and shock-resistant. The new Power Pad III enables technicians and engineers to measure and carry out diagnostics and power quality work on one-, two- or three- phase networks. Five voltage and four current inputs are provided. Give a CAS DataLoggers Applications Specialist a call at (800) 956-4437 to learn more about these convenient new products.

The new data logger is IEC 61000-4-30 Class B and safety rated to 600V CAT IV. The Power Pad III features 2GB of memory available for storing trend data. Additional internal memory is used to let users store alarms, transients, and snapshot data. Users can store up to 50 screen snapshots, up to 210 captured transients that contain four cycles for each active input, and 10,000 alarm events from up to 40 different parameters. Users can also record trend data for days, weeks or even months. Inrush current can also be captured and stored. Applications include:

  • Verification of power distribution circuits

  • In-plant troubleshooting of power distribution panels and individual machinery

  • Monitoring of pad mount transformers and phase unbalances

  • Determination of harmonic problems originating from source or load

  • Determination of transformer K-Factor

  • Energy metering (kVAh, VARh, kWh)

Features:

  • Measurement of TRMS voltages up to 1000Vrms AD/DC for two-, three-, four- or five-wiresystems

  • Measurement of TRMS currents up to 10kArms (sensor-dependent)

  • Measures up to 5000ADC with the AC/DC Current Probe Model J93

  • Frequency measurement (40 to 70Hz systems)

  • Records and displays trend data as fast as once per second for one month up to 41 variables

  • Measures harmonics (referenced to the fundamental or RMS value) for voltage, current or power up to the 50th harmonic

  • Recording, time stamping and characterization of disturbance (swells, sages and interruptions, exceedence of power and harmonic thresholds)

  • 2GB SD Card for Trend Recording memory; Alarm, Snapshot, Transient and Inrush stored in internal flash memory

  • Measures energy (VAh, VARh & Wh)

  • 65μs/sample transient recording

FREE DataView® software is included with the data loggers for quickly configuring real-time data display and report generation. DataView® also allows viewing of stored data downloads for analysis and report generation.

At CAS DataLoggers we offer this and many other AEMC products as compact stand-alone data loggers with models for AC or DC voltage or current, temperature, event recording and more.
