May 19, 2010 - Available in 3 sizes, MiniSKiiP® PIM Modules are suitable for motor drive applications up to 30 kW. Size 1 measures 42 x 40 mm and is rated for 8 A, 1,200 V to 15 A, 1,200 V, while Size 2, measuring 59 x 52 mm, is rated for 25 A, 1,200 V to 35 A, 1,200 V. Size 3 is 82 x 59 mm and rated for 50 A, 1,200 V to 100 A, 1,200 V. All feature 3-phase input rectifier, 3-phase output inverter, brake chopper, and thermistor to measure temperatures.

New MiniSKiiP® IGBT4 PIM Modules Debut


-- Vincotech enhances its MiniSKiiP® PIM module range with the latest technology. --

Munich/Germany, - Vincotech, a supplier of module-based solutions for power electronics, today announced that it has added the latest technology to its range of MiniSKiiP® PIM modules. The new modules feature IGBT4 chips ranging from 8A, 1200 V to 100A, 1200V and come in three different housings.

Featuring Infineon's latest IGBT4 chip technology for improved EMC, the new MiniSKiiP® PIM modules come in three sizes for motor drive applications ranging up to 30kW:

o MiniSKiiP® size 1 (42 by 40 mm²) for 8A, 1200V to 15A, 1200 V

o MiniSKiiP® size 2 (59 by 52 mm²) for 25A, 1200V to 35A, 1200V

o MiniSKiiP® size 3 (82 by 59 mm²) for 50A, 1200 V to 100A, 1200V

All modules feature a 3-phase input rectifier, a 3-phase output inverter, a brake chopper, and an added thermistor to measure temperatures (PIM topology). Pins match the previous version's array to enable easy upgrading, and they are fully compatible with the Semikron equivalent. Vincotech's website provides cross-references and datasheet downloads. These modules are now in serial production, and samples may be ordered from the standard sales channels.
