HP Modular Zero-U / 1U 16A - 40A Power Distribution Units

New HP Modular Power Distribution Units (PDUs) offer unparalleled power protection and distribution for rack-mounted servers and server options. Designed for the dense data center environments, HP Modular PDUs can be mounted in a zero-U/1U configuration, without consuming valuable rack-space.

Ideal for customers who value maximum power and space efficiency in their dynamic data center, this new line of Modular PDUs, enables customers to distribute power in the rack and reduce cable clutter. These PDUs have a unique modular architecture, allowing customers to fan out the power outlets along the length of the rack. Ranging from 16A to 40A models, the Modular PDUs offer unprecedented flexibility, increased outlet receptacles (up to 32), easier accessibility, superior cable management and power distribution.

The new Modular PDUs offer unique modular design architecture. This "Building block" concept consists of two main parts, the Control Unit, and the Extension Bar(s). Each unit (24-40A models) ships with one Control Unit and four Extension Bars. Each Control Unit is a single-phase unit that branches out into 4 single-phase branch circuits. The Extension Bars can be plugged into the Control Units and can be mounted to fan-out along the length of the rack. The 16A model has a Control Unit with two branch circuits and ships with two Extension Bars.

Mounting two such PDUs in one rack can offer a total of 64 outlets. The Modular PDUs can support anywhere from a couple of servers in a rack to up to 42 1U servers. The 16A model offers 16 outlets, the 40A model offers 28 outlets, and the 24-32A models offer 32 outlets.

Benefits and Key Features:
