Acumentrics Introduces the Rugged Power Distribution Unit - 8 Outputs of Conditioned Power
Designed for hazardous environmental conditions, and MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461
WESTWOOD, MA, - Acumentrics today announced release of its ruggedized power distribution unit (PDU), providing easy access to conditioned power from up to 8 outputs. Acumentrics' Rugged PDU eases power distribution, simplifies cabling and has been designed specifically to meet the demanding needs of military applications.
The Rugged PDU is built to meet MIL-STD 810. Unlike other power distribution strips, the Rugged PDU features circular mil-spec connectors sealed with positive latching to protect against rain, wind, dust, blowing sand, humidity, vibration, shock, and other environmental conditions. This unit also is built to meet MIL-STD 461, to eliminate affects from electro-magnetic interference.
Acumentrics' Rugged PDU can be configured to accept AC inputs from multiple Rugged UPS units to increase output power - greatly improving cable management. Each output connector has a circuit breaker for over-current protection, as well as for manual control of each channel.
At 1U-high (1.75"), 12" deep and weighing 10 lb, the Rugged PDU is designed to fit standard military 19" racks. Customizable with circuit breakers and connectors, the Rugged PDU features auto bypass from an AC source to keep all equipment running in the event of a power source failure.
This product is commercially available with a standard lead time of 5 weeks.
