PDI Ships First 1 MVA PowerHub(TM) PDU


Power Distribution, Incorporated (PDI) today announced shipment of the first 1 MVA Powerhub(TM) power distribution unit. The 1 MVA Powerhub(TM) power distribution unit represents an expansion of the recently released Powerhub(TM) product line which now runs from 200 kVA to 1 MVA. This welded bus design is extremely useful for top entry and top exit applications where distribution to the raised floor is accomplished via sub feed breakers and cabinet style power feeds to the servers. These customized Powerhub(TM) units can also be used for structural slab data centers as they are top entry and top exit - both configurations are built to serve dense power applications like cloud computing applications and high density server farms.

PDI engineers and distributes customized electrical equipment under the brand names PDI, Onyx, and Marelco to serve a variety of power markets. The datacenter channel is served by PDI, and Onyx and Marelco serve the alternative energy, solar, wind, low and medium voltage transformers markets. PDI has integrated these three companies to provide best of class products, upgrades and after market services.
