August 21, 2007 - Used for main branch primary fusing, Big Block Series LMG accepts 2-6 industry standard AMG bolt-in fuses with 100 A continuous per position. Red EPDM cover protects from accidental shorts, while plated steel studs provide added torque strength and are available in metric or English threads. Housed in UL-rated 94 V-0 black thermoplastic, module operates from -40 to 260°F and includes drop-in mounting bolts for clean surface mounting.

New "Big Block" Power Distribution Module Provides High Power In An Expandable Package


Wood Dale, Illinois, July 2007 - Cooper Bussmann Transportation Products, a division of Cooper Industries Ltd., has released a heavy-duty power distribution module called the LMG, also known as the "Big Block." The LMG is used for main branch primary fusing, accepting 2 to 6 industry standard AMG bolt-in fuses. With the use of a common input bus bar, the LMG requires only one input connection to power all of the fuse circuits.

The LMG fuse holder is ideal for many under the hood applications. It provides efficient power distribution for transportation applications that include: Marine, Construction, Agriculture, Heavy-Duty Trucking, Bus and Specialty Vehicles. The LMG was designed for high performance in rugged and high vibration environments found in on- and off-highway applications.

Product specifications of the Series LMG include:
o Expandable circuit protection: 2-6 fuse positions available
o 100A continuous per position
o Operating temperature range of -40°C (-40°F) to 125°C (260°F)
o Housing is made of UL-rated 94 V-0 black thermoplastic.
o The red EPDM cover protects from accidental shorts.
o Plated steel studs provide added torque strength, and are available in metric or English threads.
o Drop-in mounting bolts are provided for quick and clean surface-mounting.
