ATC's Diversified Electronics Division Announces the Popular Universal Power Alert



Lancaster, PA...ATC's Diversified Electronics division announces the popular Universal Power Alert in its new compact 30mm O.D., NEMA 4X encapsulated housing. The UPA 130 provides detection and indication of line power (40 - 750 VAC) and/or stored or generated energy (30 - 1000VDC) in an easy to install package that fits through conventional push button knockouts.

The UPA 130 provides electrical maintenance personnel enhanced levels of protection beyond those prescribed by OSHA "Lock-Out / Tag-Out" regulations by providing visual indication of hazardous energy after the enclosure is locked and tagged. (Supports compliance with OSHA 1910.147 (d) (6)) The UPA 130's flashing LEDs indicate the presence of hazardous conditions associated with stored energy, (back up generators and power factor correction monitoring systems), operator error or miscalibration of AC/DC voltage meters, sticking contacts, arc flash, dual sourcing and voltage feedback.
