Available in sizes 165, 185, 215, 260, and 315, ROTA THWplus features wedge-bar actuation system for larger through holes and optimal spindle speeds. In less than 60 sec, complete jaw set can be changed with repeatability of less than 0.0005 in. Many combinations of top and base jaws can be utilized to fit any need. To avoid damage to machine and danger to operator, actuation wrench can only be removed when jaw is properly engaged.

Shorter Set-up Times with the ROTA THWplus
The ROTA THWplus quick jaw change chuck stands alone when judged on the measurement of set-up efficiency. In less than 60 seconds a complete jaw set can be changed with a repeatability of less than 0.0005". This eliminates the need to re-bore jaws in many cases. A unique wedge-bar actuation system allows this chuck to offer larger through holes with faster spindle speeds, and coupled with the Quick-Jaw-Change-System the ROTA THWplus reduces downtimes and therefore helps to maximize the throughput and ROI of any turning center.
Many combinations of top and base jaws can be utilized to fit any need. For through spindle coolant, part ejection, closed center sealing, or as an adjustable part stop optional modular center sleeves can be used.
The ROTA THWplus was designed with safety in mind. To avoid damage to the machine and danger to the operator the actuation wrench can only be removed when a jaw is properly engaged.
