April 2, 2004 - Model SS-330-PFH Positive Flow Hood and Model SS-448-PLF Positive Laminar Flow Hood incorporate fan on top and use Prefilter/HEPA/ULPA filters to keep work area free from contaminants and particulates. Perforated baffle maintains low turbulence flow of filtered air continuously throughout enclosure. Depending on model, max airflow velocity ranges from 350–700 cfm; variable speed control is standard on each unit. Both models provide full visibility of work area.

Laminar Flow Positive Pressure Hoods Provide Sterile Work Areas for Critical Operations
HOUSTON, TX – March 25, 2004 – The Sentry Air Systems, Inc. Model SS-330-PFH Positive Flow Hood and Model SS-448-PLF Positive Laminar Flow Hoods are effective and economical solutions to operations where sterile atmospheres are required. These units use patented technology to provide purified air for a variety of clean room procedures involving electronic or parts assembly, medical research, pharmaceutical operations, industrial applications and many other operations. Positive pressure hoods incorporate a powerful fan on top and use a combination of Prefilter/HEPA/ULPA filters to keep the work area free from contaminants and particulates. Room air is drawn through the filters, purified and then directed through a perforated baffle so that a low turbulence flow of filtered air is maintained continuously throughout the enclosure. HEPA filters are rated 99.99% efficient a 0.3 particles and ULPA filters are rated at 99.999% efficient @ 0.12 particles. Metal framed filter housings offer easily replaceable filters that can be ordered from Sentry Air Systems, Inc.
The filter/fan unit on the Model SS-448-PLF provides an average airflow velocity of 700 CFM while the Model SS-330-PFH delivers 350 CFM (Blower on High) and 50 CFM (Blower on Low). A variable speed control is standard on each unit. Blower units are constructed of 16-ga. carbon steel with polyester epoxy coating on all surfaces. Electrical requirements of 115/1/60, approximately 2 amps, eliminate the need for non-standard connections.
Featuring full visibility of the working area, the positive pressure hood interior work areas are easily wiped clean to accommodate multiple operations. An access door is provided that opens to accommodate process equipment or other necessary tools or accessories needed for work within the sterile atmosphere.
The Model SS-330-PFH has external dimensions of 24.5" deep x 31" wide x 37.725 High, and provides an interior work area of 24" Deep x 30" Wide x 24" High. The Model SS-448-PLF has external dimensions of 29.25" Deep x 51 " Wide x 49" High, and offers an interior work area of 25"Deep x 49" Wide x 28" High. All Sentry Air Systems units are offered with a limited one-year warranty from date of shipment on defects due to materials or workmanship.
