Developed as a space-saving alternative to rod-type devices such as LVDTs, magnetostrictive devices, and linear potentiometers, the flexible and easy-to-install products use a stainless steel cable wound around a spring-powered precision-machined drum. Operating temperature is from -40° to +85° C (analog) and -10° to +85° C (digital) or better. Standard environmental protection is to IP 66 / NEMA 4 with IP 67 / NEMA 6 available. Custom configurations and signal conditioning are available. Operating lifetime is in excess of 5,000,000 shaft revolutions.
