May 6, 2002 - LWH real time sensors provide position information with no update time delays or dead zones. There is no minimum velocity requirement, so position information is available to controllers during machine startups and stops. It provides repeatability of 0.0004 in. and linearity to +/- 0.04%, operates at speeds up to 10 m/s, and is available in stroke lengths of 75 to 900 mm. Sensor mounting snaps on to simplify installation.

New Real Time Position Sensors Provide Extended Life

Southborough, MA...Novotechnik U.S. has incorporated a new low-resistance compound into its LWH real time position sensors to provide a lifespan of over 100 million cycles.

LWH sensors are well suited for control loops and other applications that require position information with no update time delays or dead zones. And since there is no minimum velocity requirement, position information is available to controllers during machine startups and stops.

Designed to provide repeatability of 0.0004" (0.01mm) and linearity to +/- 0.04%, LWH transducers provide accurate, real time position information without time delays.

The LWH series operates at speeds up to 10 m/s and is available in stroke lengths of 75 to 900 mm. The sensors feature a unique mounting that snaps-on to simplify installation.
