Titan Tool Supply Introduces New V Series Portable Videoscopes

Provide Remote Visual Inspection with Both Video and Audio Recording Features

(JUNE 2005) - Titan Tool Supply, Inc., Buffalo, New York announces the introduction of its new line of V Series portable videoscopes for remote visual inspection (RVI). Featuring a CCD (charge-coupled-device), solid-state camera and metal-halide lamp to provide bright, high-resolution images on an integrated large LCD monitor, the new V Series videoscopes are equipped with a compact flash digital image storage card and USB port to make the recording, transfer and storage of images and audio easy, according to Titan Tool Supply.

The V Series Videoscope system consists of a video borescope and the Titan VIH Pro video imaging hub. Available in 6 mm (0.24") and 8mm (0.31") diameter two-way and four-way articulating, as well as non-articulating models, the borescope is designed for comfortable, one-handed operation to reduce operator fatigue and is constructed to withstand the rigors of the manufacturing working environment, Titan Tool Supply states. The selection of articulation options allows the user to guide the scope completely into inspection areas. Available lengths range from 1.5 to 15 meters (approximately 5 to 49 feet) depending on the model. A tungsten braid covers the entire insertion tube and bending section. In addition, V Series videoscopes withstand immersion in water, oils, fuels and other fluids.

The VIH Pro imaging hub is a portable unit combining a light source, image control and management functions. The remote image is clearly displayed on a state-of-the-art LCD monitor, and video and audio data can be recorded without cumbersome cables or advanced computer knowledge, the company says. The onboard removable digital storage media or USB outlet can be used to transfer data to a personal computer. The VIH Pro video imaging hub is supplied with the hub and integral 6-inch LCD color monitor, 100-240V AC power module and cable, headset with microphone, 64MB compact flash memory card, 2m (6-1/2-ft.) USB cable, software, CD and operating manual.

Titan Tool Supply states that 21 of the 22 models in the series are supplied with 58° FOV and 90° FOV objective lenses (the 8mm/0.31" two and four-way articulating video borescopes includes a 58° FOV objective lens only). 90° side view tip adapters are optionally available for both 6mm (0.24") and 8mm (0.31") diameter models. A 12V DC rechargeable battery pack and battery charger are also available.
