Powered by rechargeable Li-ion battery via 12 Vdc external adapter, Bluetooth-enabled device includes 64 MB flash ROM, 64 MB RAM, gun grip, TFT color LCD screen with touch panel, alphanumeric software keyboard, and barcode scanner.

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has launched its Gen2 RFID reader/writer with a handle for easy carrying. The RFID reader/writer uses an anti-collision algorithm and supports multi-tag handling simultaneously. It is intended for use in such applications as access control, asset tracking, warehouse management and live tagging. This portable reader/writer is compact and lightweight in design with the mobile workforce in mind and is integrated with a Unitech RH767 rugged mobile computer.
This high performance reader/writer, model 246003, operates in a frequency range from 902MHz to 928MHz. It offers a maximum reading distance of 1.8m and a data transferring rate of up to 640kbps. The optimized RFID reader/writer features HF RFID computer w/gun grip, Bluetooth enabled, 64MB flash ROM and 64MB RAM. It is equipped with a high resolution TFT color LCD screen with touch panel, a full alphanumeric software keyboard and a barcode scanner. This read/write unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery via 12V DC external adapter and works continuously for up to 12 hours on a full charged. With an IP55 protection rating, this RFID reader works effectively even in harsh environments.
