Launch of the Portable Metal Hardness Testers Equotip Piccolo 2 / Bambino 2
Singapore - Proceq builds on the successful metal hardness testers Equotip Piccolo and Equotip Bambino with the launch of the Equotip Piccolo 2 / Bambino 2. The inventor of Leeb Rebound testing has applied its many years of experience to produce an instrument with unique features, such as the Equotip DL accessory kit with the slim DL probe. This allows testing in confined spaces, on recessed surfaces or with local target precision. The flexibility to switch between the universal D probe and the new DL probe ensures a high usability.
Due to the single loading-release mechanism, invented by Proceq, metal hardness testing can be done in less than 2 seconds measuring time per reading. With the Equotip Piccolo 2 / Bambino 2, Proceq offers portable testers with the best repetition rate and the greatest accuracy on the market. To simplify the testing of metal hardness, the Equotip Piccolo 2 / Bambino 2 come with an automatic compensation for impact directions.
The Equotip Bambino 2 is particularly suitable for quick and easy on-site hardness checks. It has all the measurement capability of Equotip Piccolo 2, but Equotip Piccolo 2 additionally offers advanced measurement statistics, real-time monitoring and user defined hardness conversion curves. The Piccolink PC Software, which comes with the Equotip Piccolo 2, allows easy analysis of the data recorded, including editing and exporting to reports.
Diverse applications require flexibility of the Equotip device. For example, steel roll manufacturers often document the hardness of their samples in HLD, HV or HRC scales, whereas casts and forgings are mostly specified in HB and HRB units. The Equotip Piccolo 2 / Bambino 2 fulfill those needs by providing results in all common hardness scales. Also, the Equotip Piccolo 2 offers the ability to do custom conversions and conversions to tensile strength.
