Portable Gas Detector detects levels of toxic H2S gas in ppm.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for natural gas and petroleum industries, IP67-rated H2S Guardian features intrinsically safe electronics that are contained for use in hazardous locations. Audible, visual, and vibrating alarms warn operator of TWA (10 ppm) and STEL (15 ppm) concentrations of H2S. With continuous display on LCD screen, user is constantly aware of current level of Hydrogen Sulfide. Peak exposure display feature ensures that operators can determine what their maximum exposure to H2S has been.

Graphic Controls Introduces the H2S Guardian Gas Detector

Safety Made Simple

Buffalo, N.Y. - Graphic Controls, the world leader in industrial recorder consumables, has unveiled their latest product to service the Natural Gas and Petroleum industries. The H2S Guardian is a portable gas detector designed to detect levels of toxic Hydrogen Sulfide gas in PPM.  It is Graphic Controls’ answer to requests from industry professionals for a more robust and reliable device. Backed by the industries highest level of dust, water and oil resistance, the H2S Guardian is especially designed to perform in the tough conditions faced by exploration and production operators.

“Before launching this project we dedicated considerable time and effort to understand customer preferences and gathering direct user feedback,” said Michael Memminger, sales and marketing director of the Industrial Products division.  “Our goal was to design a product that is easy to use, durable and ensures safety with a continuous PPM readout.  We are pleased with the market reception we have received so far.”

Classified as intrinsically safe, the H2S Guardian’s electronics are contained for safe use in hazardous locations. This classification is required for most stages of exploration and production within the gas and oil industries. Audible, visual and vibrating alarms warn the operator of TWA (10ppm) and STEL (15ppm) concentrations of H2S.

An always available continuous display on a large LCD screen was incorporated to allow the user to be constantly aware of the current level of Hydrogen Sulfide. Furthermore, a peak exposure display feature ensures that operators can always determine what their maximum exposure to Hydrogen Sulfide has been.

In addition to an Ingress Protection rating of 6/7, the Guardian’s rugged design includes an advanced steel attachment clip, impact resistant case and a complex selectively permeable sensor membrane. These features protect the device from outside conditional hazards.

Graphic Controls has expanded its highly trained and experienced customer service team with new technicians that specialize in portable gas detection. If interested in ordering this device, it is available online, over the phone or through our established industry resellers.

Graphic Controls has more than 100 years experience producing quality precision charts and marking systems for recording instruments. Today the company ships its products to over 45,000 customers in North America and over 80 countries worldwide.
