New Self-Contained, Easy to Use, Portable Videoscope System

Trevose, PA - Lenox Instrument Company announces the addition of a new Portable Videoscope System to its extensive line of remote visual inspection instruments. Designed to meet the demands of the industrial inspection environment, the self contained system combines state-of-the-art video technology, cordless operation, compact portability and rugged durability at an affordable price. The Portable Videoscope System is well suited for inspection of bridges, drill pipe, turbines, airframes, power generation equipment, process tanks and vessels, tubing and pipes, heat exchangers and hydraulic cylinders and other difficult to reach videoscope inspections.

Lenox Portable Videoscope System models offer a choice between a miniature, waterproof, 1" (26 mm) diameter, removable, 120° FOV, color CCD camera head with built-in, bright LED lighting or a waterproof, 1.5" (40 mm) diameter, removable, 360° pan and 180° tiltable, color CCD camera head with built-in, bright LED lighting. Mounted to the end of a flexible, retractable, push rod, the system's camera can easily negotiate 90 degree bends and inspect lengths up to 98 feet (30 m). Depending upon model, a metric, distance indicated pushrod or a digital, on-screen display of retracted push rod length, allows the user to pinpoint the location of the camera head during borescope inspections.

The advanced, Portable Videoscope System includes a high resolution, 7" wide screen (16:9) TFT monitor that displays brilliant images and is both tiltable and removable from its case with a 6.6 feet (2 m) umbilical cable. Models are available with built-in image recording onto a 4GB memory card with mini USB port for video transfer. A standard, built-in RCA video output is also provided that allows the system to connect to an optional Lenox high-definition recorder capable of capturing video and still images for inspection documentation.

The Lenox Portable Videoscope System is self contained in a compact, heavy duty, carrying case and includes 2 NIMH rechargeable batteries (1 hour of continuous operation per battery) and built-in power supply/charger.

Optional system accessories include a camera roller guide and protection sleeve that protects and improves the ability of the system's camera head to take bends.

Each Portable Videoscope System is designed, manufactured and serviced in-house by Lenox Instrument, and is backed by an industry-leading two-year warranty.
