Powered by Kohler® 9.5 hp CH395 OHV gasoline engine, Bulldog(TM) 5500 provides up to 140 A of AC welding output for arc welding on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardfacing projects with up to 1/8 in. stick electrodes. Unit also includes single, full-range calibrated welding control that features operating ranges for 3/32 and 1/8 in. electrodes. Lincoln Electric Introduces New Portable AC Welder/Generator
Cleveland - Lincoln Electric has introduced the new Bulldog(TM) 5500, portable welder/generator for homeowners, farmers, ranchers and contractors who require welding and AC generator power in one portable unit.
Bulldog(TM) 5500
The Bulldog 5500 is designed exclusively for AC stick welding. It provides up to 140 amps of AC welding output for arc welding on steel, stainless steel, cast iron and hardfacing projects with up to 1/8 inch stick electrodes, such as Lincoln® 7018AC (AWS E7018) and Fleetweld® 180 (AWS E6011). It also includes a single, full-range calibrated welding control that includes operating ranges for 3/32 and 1/8 inch electrodes.
The unit delivers 5,500 watts surge (4,000 watts continuous) AC generator power for grinders, work lights or pumps. The Bulldog 5500 also can be used for motor starting or standby emergency power. Additionally, a Lincoln Electric POWER MIG® 140C compact MIG welder can be easily powered by the Bulldog 5500when a welding application calls for wire processes.
The machine is equipped with the industry's largest in-class 1-¼ inch diameter tube frame for sturdy protection. This model also features the Lincoln Electric exclusive Low-Lift(TM) grab bars for easier lifting on and off truck beds.
It features a Kohler® 9.5 HP Model CH395 OHV (overhead valve) gasoline engine with a cast iron cylinder liner for long engine life, automatic shutdown for low oil level and a three-year engine warranty from Kohler. This easy-to-maintain engine requires an oil change only every 100 hours with no oil filter to replace.
