Verisurf today unveiled the GagePlate system - a major innovation that dramatically expands the capabilities of the Master3DGage(TM) portable rapid 3D inspection solution. Quality engineers can now use the affordable Master3DGage to inspect large parts without sacrificing accuracy.
Master3DGage integrates a six-axis portable CMM with Verisurf's advanced 3D Model-Based GD&T inspection software. This complete solution delivers a precise, fully automated digital process to inspect directly to CAD models anywhere on the shop floor and is as accurate as any portable CMM arm.

The GagePlate system automates realignment of the Master3DGage around large parts under inspection, while referencing one coordinate system. The precision calibrated plate rapidly scales and aligns the Master3DGage, enabling the inspection of large parts without the accumulative errors associated with leapfrogging or costs associated with large-scale CMMs.
Master3DGage software can also precisely compensate for temperature-related measurement variation. It automatically scales and compensates the known CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) of the part under inspection with the CTE of the calibrated GagePlate.
