March 26, 2004 - CHEMTHANE 2260™ solvent-free, 2-component polyurethane coating is applied directly to prepared steel, ductile iron, or concrete to provide corrosion protection for substrate. This 100% solids (Zero VOC) polyurethane, used to protect underground tanks, pipelines and pilings, cures to form hard polymer film that demonstrates resistance to adhesion, abrasion, and chemicals. It achieves high film build in single coat multi-pass applications.

New Fast Cure Polyurethane Resists Corrosion in Underground Tanks & Pipelines

St. Louis, MO (3/15/04) -- Chemline Incorporated™ announced the development of a new solvent-free, two component polyurethane coating that is applied directly to prepared steel, ductile iron or concrete to provide corrosion protection for the substrate.

CHEMTHANE 2260™ is a 100 percent solids (Zero VOC), fast-cure polyurethane that can achieve high film build in a single coat multi-pass application. Primers are generally not required for application of this product. According to John Pantanella, President of the company: “This coating cures to form a hard polymer film that also demonstrates resistance to adhesion, abrasion and many chemicals.”

CHEMTHANE 2260™ is used to protect underground tanks, pipelines and pilings. Plus, CHEMTHANE 2260™ can be used for immersion service in water, wastewater and salt water applications.

This product is available for immediate distribution throughout the world in five, 20 and 55 gallon containers.
