NPI Offers New Static Dissipative Compound for 'Hot Spot' Free Molded Parts

NPI is a compounder and supplier of specialty polyolefins located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. NPI has introduced a new class of static dissipative polypropylene compound, Nexstat-10C896, which can be can be molded with consistent resistivity in the range of 106 - 109 ohms/sq. Nexstat-10C896 is designed to eliminate 'hot spots' in molded parts for complete protection of static sensitive components from damage from trapped tribocharged or field induced voltages.

This product is especially suitable for the manufacture of static protective storage bins, tote boxes, guide rails, containers, racks and shelving.

The outstanding features and benefits of using this product are:

o Tunable surface resistivity consistently in the static dissipative range of 106- 109 ohms/sq.
o No 'hot spots' on finished molded products
o Humidity independent
o Non hygroscopic; no pre-drying required
o High impact strength with good flow and physical properties
o Low ionic contamination; low out gassing
o Minimal sloughing
o Recyclable
