Designed for use as fiber sizing in fiber reinforced nylon composites, solvent- and VOC-free Hydrosize® PA845 is fully compliant with EC Directives on plastics for food applications. Product is engineered for optimal processability, film forming, and strand integrity properties. Also free from alkylphenol ethoxylate (APE), dispersion provides alternative to Hydrosize polyurethane fiber sizings for nylon composites in applications where greater thermal stability is required.

New Water-Based Polyamide Dispersion Fiber Sizing Now Available from Michelman
CINCINNATI, OH - A new aqueous polyamide dispersion now available from Michelman is designed for use as a fiber sizing in fiber reinforced nylon composites. Hydrosize® PA845 is solvent and VOC free with small particle size. The field tested and proven new dispersion has excellent processability and film forming properties and produces high strand integrity. It is also alkylphenol ethoxylate (APE) free and fully compliant with the EC Directives on plastics for food applications.
Hydrosize PA845 provides an alternative to Michelman's Hydrosize polyurethane fiber sizings for nylon composites, in applications where a greater degree of thermal stability is required.
